The TOCA Method
TOCA stands for Touch, Observation, Control and Awareness. Dawou uses this method to explain the mechanics behind movement, helping dancers understand why a technique works rather than simply memorize steps.
Footwork and connection
His teaching emphasizes quiet, controlled footwork and reducing unnecessary tension between partners. Body control, frame and clear communication are recurring themes in his classes.
International teaching
Dawou has taught in Paris and Dubai and ran Tarraxo School Paris from 2020 to 2023. His international teaching includes classes, online courses and festival appearances at events such as Global Tarraxo Festival in Seoul, Wonderland in Berlin and Latin Crazy Festival in Dubai.
